Kushida Shrine
This shrine is the grand tutelary of Hakata to which the Hakata Gion Yamakasa festival is dedicated to. The place is decorated with Kazari Yamakasa floats all year round. It is believed to be a guardian deity of business prosperity and longevity, who is well-known and warmly referred to as “Okushida-san” by the locals.

Bayside Place Hakata

Tenjin Central Park
A lush green park with a natural lawn and a refreshing fountain square. The park is also famous as a cherry blossom viewing spot in spring. There is also the "Kihinkan Hall" (Former Fukuoka Prefectural Public Hall Guest House) in one corner of the park and other facilities designed to take advantage of the waterfront space.

Fukuoka City Red Brick Culture Center
This brick Western-style building, which suddenly appears in the streets of Tenjin, was built by a leading architect of the Meiji era. We recommend taking a closer look on details such as the curved window frame design, the staircase, the high ceiling, and the retro lighting.

Kego Shrine
The shrine is adjacent to "Kego Park," a landmark in Tenjin. The shrine grounds include a 300-year-old camphor tree, many stone pillars dedicated by successive lords of the Fukuoka domain, and a spot where mineral water comes out of a monolithic rock, providing a sense of the sacred atmosphere.
